Managing Director
Rajbir Singh Manak
MA (Hons), BSc (Hons)
Working with his father, Raj joined the construction industry as a labourer. In 1993, having gained full knowledge of all aspects of the plastering trade, Raj was asked to join the management team of PCSL.
Whilst working his way through the Company and familiarising himself with the day to day operation of every Department, Raj studied part-time to achieve ONC, BSc(Hons) and MA(Hons) qualifications.
In 2000 Raj was appointed Managing Director. and has since overseen the implementation of new procedures and the introduction of new products.
He has "risen through the ranks" with a clear understanding of all aspects of the business. Believing that a successful business is created by a loyal and committed workforce, he strives to ensure that staff are given support and training to enable them to fulfil their potential.
Pre-Contract Operations Manager
Peter Baker
MCIOB, MSc, BSc (Hons.)
Peter joined Stanmore from leaving University in April 2005 and studied, whilst working, for his MSc in Project Management at Greenwich University. He initially trained as a Quantity Surveyor, and spent a stint of 12 months Supervising out on site, focusing mainly on external facades. After gaining this valuable experience he moved back into the Commercial Department and worked as an Estimator and quickly progressed through the ranks, going from Senior Estimator to Pre-Contract Operations Manager in 2010 and gaining Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building in the process. His responsibilities are the Estimating and Technical Departments.
Finance Manager
Monica Ambersley
MAAT
Monica Joined Stanmore in 1993 as a Finance Manager, firstly on a freelance basis, then 'went on the books'.
She set up the Credit Control section and, very soon after, took over and developed the Accounts group to what
it is today, a fully functional Finance Department with a team of 7 Staff, accounting for the Incomes and
Expenditures of the Company.
In 2006, Monica gained the final level of accounting technician to become a full practising member of the AAT.
Prior to joining Stanmore she worked for BT Accounts for over 20 years, the last 10 as a Finance Manager
responsible for telephone revenue collection with a team of 8 staff.
Buying Manager
Kelly Holloway
After leaving college achieving 3 A levels, Kelly went on to work for a plant and tool hire company as a hire negotiator, which Stanmore used. After building a good working relationship Kelly was then asked to join stanmore as a Buyer.
From buyer I have been promoted to buying manager to control the buying team of all internal jobs.
Chief Buyer
Paul Sayer
Paul left college in 1994 after gaining a HND in Business and Finance and went on to spend several years in Construction Product Sales. Paul has worked in the Plant Hire, Construction Sealants, Insulation Manufacturing and the Drywall/Insulation Distribution sectors, providing a very good insight into his current role, gaining valuable product knowledge and experience in to how Stanmore's suppliers operate.
Paul joined Stanmore in 2007 and is responsible for all pricing agreements with materials suppliers, both on annual deal and project specific basis. He also supports the Estimators and Surveyors in ensuring they have the best rates when pricing Tenders and sourcing new products when required. He has also recently taken on responsibility for the Facade Material ordering working closely with both the Designers, Construction Managers and Suppliers, to get the right materials to site both on budget and on time to achieve the Project Program.
